The 6st ring

At 2003 I had enough working on demo's alone in my basement. I managed to convince my brother Risto (1953-2014) to join me and start a duo. We played irish- styled folk and our own songs on gigs. 2004 we recorded our first CD "The 6st ring - Promo"

By the end of the year I felt we needed a full album. We had already half of the material needed, and I wrote the rest during the project. For drummtracks we found Jarmo "Jake" Hangaslammi who acted not only as a studio musician but also toured with us.

Four years of hard work finally saw the finish line at the end of 2007. The result was "Viiala blues" -album, which in fact, was more of a good quality demo if anything else. I recorded all the tracks with my Yamaha AW16G. The learning curve for recording and producing was steep. By the time I had the first hard copy in my hand I had learnt to understand that I did not understand what I was doing. However, the making of this CD was part of my healing process from losing a close family member.

A longtime dream is about to happen

Some ten years later it is time to try again. This time it's going to be pop/progressive rock. Partially the material dates back to the end of 70-tees whilst some of it has been written during the project. At the time I am writing this we are about halfway through on mixdown -phase.
